Tribe grapplers bow to Alma, 41-21

ALMA -- Chesaning's varsity wrestlers made a match of it Wednesday night, but in the end the Indians' lack of numbers proved fatal in a 41-27 loss to host Alma. Chesaning's Patrick Hook won by an 11-8 decision at 125 lbs. The Indians also got wins by forfeit from Chad Reiber (135 lbs.), Justin Kaiser (145), Michael Smith (152) and Jaxon Wirgau (160). The Indians actually led 27-23 with four weight classes to go, but had to forfeit all four matches. Alma was also a forfeit at 215 lbs. With the loss, the Indians fall to 1-17 in dual meets on the season, 1-6 in the Tri-Valley Conference Central Division.
