Valentine's Day Giveaway winners announced



CHESANING -- The winners have been announced for the Valentine's Day Giveaway, sponsored by the Tri-County Citizen and area advertisers.

The grand prize of $100 cash certificate went to Ben Escamilla, of Chesaning. His name was drawn at M-57 Surplus.

The four $50 certificates went to: Frank Burgess, Jr., of St. Charles, drawn at Dr. Ron Westervelt; Mary Hogg, of Owosso, drawn at Harmony Message Therapy and Body Wellness; Mary Lou Krupp, of New Lothrop, drawn at Broad Street Pharmacy; and Nicole Poisson, of New Lothrop, drawn at Gracie's Country Inn.

The nine $25 cash certificates went to: Carol Carmody, of Corunna, drawn at Bea's Massage; Jean Jackson, of Mt. "Business Plan Basics" seminar scheduled for Feb. 28

SAGINAW - A Business Plan Basics workshop will offer helpful advice and useful contacts for anyone interested in starting a new business in a February 28 seminar at 6 p.m. at the Hoyt Public Library, 505 Janes, Saginaw.

Jointly sponsored by the Public Libraries of Saginaw, the Small Business and Technology Development Center, the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce, and Saginaw Future, Inc., the free workshop will cover the basics of starting a new business such as financing, creating a business plan, and community resources. Participants will receive free handouts and learn about community agencies that can help.
