Obituaries PUBLISHED:
Age 58, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2008 with her family by her side. She was born to the late Rodney and Dorothy Sells. She moved to Florida in 1990 from Michigan. She was an avid pool player and a member of the APA at Frank's Place. She is survived by her long-time friend, Ned Markey; her three children, Kindra Turner, of Fruitland, Fla., Ron Adams, of Weirsdale, Fla., and Johnny Adams, of Tampa, Fla.; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Beverly Lane, of Mio, Patricia Helvie, of Chesaning, and Celia Cantu, of Chesaning; and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A service was held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at Leesburg, Fla. Another service will be held at a later date in Chesaning.
MARION I. DICE of Montrose Age 80, passed away Friday, February 1, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Marion was born on August 18, 1927 in Flushing to the late Roy and Lucy (Walker) Yott. She lived in Montrose most of her life. She was married to Chester Dice on March 13, 1946 in Flint. He preceded her in death on June 25, 2004. Marion was a member of Montrose Baptist Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Surviving are her six children, Gary (Gayle) Dice, Ron (Hildavi) Dice, Frankie Dice, Tim (Char) Dice, Jeff Dice, Debra (Jim) Gutowski; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Leona (Bill) Lakies; four brothers, Lee (Janet) Yott, Hugh (Grace) Yott, Dale (Joann) Yott, Tommy Yott; many nieces and nephews; special friend Delynn Drielick. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Gabriel Morse; sister, Beth Bowman; brother, Don Yott; in-laws, Frank and Mary Dice. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Burial was at Montrose Township Cemetery. JOHN T. COUGHLIN of Corunna Age 65, passed away Friday, February 1, 2008 at his residence. John was born on July 19, 1942 in Owosso, the son of Joseph A. and Kathryn E. (Flynn) Coughlin. On May 5, 1962, he married Bernita Kingsbury at St. Robert Catholic Church in Flushing. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his family and spending time with his grandsons. John retired from General Motors in 1999 after 37 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Bernita; daughters, Pamela (Dave) Ryan and Tina (Tom) Schultz; sons, Rick (Dawn) Coughlin and Mark Coughlin; three grandsons, Justin and Jordan Schultz and Dakota Ryan; sisters, Rose (Ed) Schneider, Joan (Elmer) Schneider, MaryLou Borton, Margie Coughlin, Theresa (Gary) Butzin, Judy (Ken) Gengler, Linda (Ron) Krzciok and Sandy (Tom) Schlachter; brother, Michael (Mary) Coughlin; sister-in-law, Carolyn (Rich) Stasa; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Patrick Coughlin. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Fr. David Fisher officiating. Burial followed at Yerian Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the John T. Coughlin Memorial Fund. DONALD A. KNIEPER of New Lothrop Age 67, passed away Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint. Donald Arthur Knieper was born on August 31, 1940 to the late Arthur and Helen (Wendling) Knieper. He married Janet Sumbera on October 19 1963. Don retired from General Motors in 1995 after 31 years of service. He was very active in his community. He was a member of the K of C Council #2943, served on the Twin Township Ambulance Based for 25 years and was an active member of the New Lothrop Athletic Association. Don is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Janet; four sons, Derrick and Chris, Dwayne and Jennifer, Anthony and Kelly, and Dennis and Jennie; 11 grandchildren, Tylee, Chloe, Joseph, Meredith, Keira (to be born in May), Jason, Kayla, Matt, Josh, Adam and Emilee; three brothers and two sisters, Carl and Mary Knieper, Sam and Marie Knieper, Mary and Tom Rombach, Harold and Nancy Knieper and Lorriane and Richard Hypes; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Don's funeral liturgy was held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Groe. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly officiated, with burial at St. Michael Cemetery. ANNETTE M. CONSTINE of Chesaning Age 96, passed away Wednesday night, February 6, 2008. She was born on September 29, 1911 in Fowler, the daughter of Joseph and Theresa (Stump) Fedewa. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Etta Mayhew, Marianne Bishop, Bernard Fedewa and Vern Fedewa; her niece and her spouse, Laurie (Robert) Green, of Hazelton Township; and many nieces and nephews. Those who have passed away include her parents; her husband, Peter in 1975; and her two sisters and two brothers, Bertha Emery, Estelle Birchmeier, Alfred and William Fedewa. Cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday evening, February 12, 2008 at 7 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Maple Grove Township.
