Spring into Praise 2 conference held FLUSHING -- Nationally renowned speakers, Fr. Joe Krupp and Fr. Geoff Rose, OSFS, led the "Spring into Praise 2" Conference on Saturday, March 8, at Mt. Zion Catholic Pastoral Center in Flushing. The theme, "The Winds of Change" focused on how Christians could experience and utilize the power of the Holy Spirit that Jesus gave to everyone at the first Pentecost. "The center of our universe has to be Jesus Christ," Fr. Rose urged. "We are just another planet in the constellation that spins around." The two priests shared the stage and tag-teamed four talks that addressed the eternal promises of the Holy Spirit compared to the fleeting promises of the world. "God wants to free you more than you can ever want to be free," Fr. Krupp said. "He wants to free you from the slavery of things that come and go." Youth to Youth Catholic Evangelization led the music and performed skits throughout the day-long event. One hundred five people, ranging from teenagers from Lansing, Flushing, and Canada to adults from all over the Lansing diocese, attended.
