WILFRED NEUMANN

Age 85, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2008 at the St. Francis Home, Saginaw. He was born on February 27, 1923 in Saginaw County to Rudolph and Florence (Nelson) Neumann. Wilfred loved to polka dance and play cards. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoor life. He was a retired dairy farmer. His wife, Verna, passed away on December 18, 2007.

Surviving Wilfred are his children and their spouses: Larry and Debra Neumann, of Oakley, Phillip and Betty Neumann, of Chesaning, Diann and Melvin Simons, of St. Charles, and Carl and Annette Neumann, of Corunna; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters Joan Kollins, Melvin and Jean Neumann, and Dorothy and Wayne Bell; and sister-in-law, Mary Lee Neumann. Others who have passed away include his parents and brother, Clarence Neumann.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. Diane Hungerford officiated, with burial at Resurrection Cemetery, Chesaning. www.misiukfuneralhome.com.

FRANCIS A. "FRANK" DAMIC

of Saginaw

Age 72, went to be with the Lord doing what he loved, ice fishing, on Friday, March 14, 2008 in Bay City. Frank was born on December 7, 1935 in Saginaw to Frank and Mary (Mitas) Damic. He married Carol Maher on October 23, 1954 in St. Charles, and she survives him. Frank was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, St. Charles, the Knights of Columbus, Ducks Unlimited and SFCHA. He loved hunting, fishing and tinkering in the garage. Frank retired from Steering Gear Plant 2 as a machine repairman in 1991. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Carol, and their children, Jerry and Kori Damic, Mike Damic, Mary and Ray Walker, all of St. Charles, Tim and Jean Damic, of Saginaw; grandchildren, Josh and special friend Angie Atkins, Kyle, Kirk and Jay Damic, Jake and Shelby Walker, Alicia and Travis Fath; three brothers and three sisters, Joe and Laurie Damic, Evelyn Damic, Veronica McPherson, Al and Toni Damic, all of Chesaning, Karen Damic, of St. Charles, and Lawrence Damic, of Grayling; brother and sister-in-law, Jon and Sondra Easterling; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Damic, brother, John Damic, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Walter and Lelah Maher; brothes- and sisters-in-law, Fred and Euatric Maher and Jerry Maher.

Funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at Immaculate Conception Church, St. Charles. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. Charles Public Library or Immaculate Conception Church. Frank was a Gift of Life donor. Arrangements were entrusted to the Kendall Funeral Home of St. Charles.

ELIZABETH L. DELEMEESTER

of St. Charles

Age 87, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to Jesus on Friday, March 14, 2008 at St. Francis Nursing Home in Saginaw. Elizabeth "Betty" was born on April 29, 1920 in Merrill to Paul and Louise (Lamertyn) Naessens. She married Ernest Delemeester on July 16, 1938. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2000. Elizabeth was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in St. Charles. Elizabeth and Ernest raised seven children, and family always came first to her. She loved gardening, watching the birds, crocheting, baking and visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth is survived by three sons and their spouses, Larry (Rose) Delemeester, James (Marlene) Delemeester and Roger (Kristy) Delemeester, all of St. Charles; four daughters and their spouses, Mary Janet (David) Kushion, of St. Charles, Linda Delemeester, of West Branch, Jeanne Delemeester, of Chesaning, and Lori (Tim) Johnson, of Davison; eight grandsons and seven granddaughters, Ernest and Leslie Delemeester, Julie and Ken Blakley, Stephanie and Chris Smith, Jody and John Hill, Greg and Jackie Delemeester, Gary Delemeester, Cathy and Chuck Hasselbeck, Karen and Charlie Browne, Michael and Tracy Kushion, Brodie and Jamie Delemeester, Michelle Delemeester and Jacob, Zachary, Elizabeth and Lucas Johnson; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law and spouse, Madeline "Babe" and Thomas Bussinger, of St. Charles; and many nieces and nephews. Five brothers, Cyril, Raymond, Maurice, Henry and Andrew Naessens, preceded her in death.

Funeral Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2008 at Immaculate Conception Church, St. Charles. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. Francis Nursing Home, Saginaw Commission on Aging or Immaculate Conception Church. The family wants to especially thank DeeDee, the caring nurses, aides and other staff at St. Francis Nursing Home and the Heartland Hospice staff for the respect and love shown to their mother for the past five years. Arrangements were entrusted to the Kendall Funeral Home of St. Charles.

WILMA M. LAUX

of Chesaning

Age 85, passed away on Tuesday evening, March 18, 2008 at the St. Mary's of Michigan Hospital, Saginaw. She was born on March 14, 1023 in Chesaning Township, the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth (Gross) Deitering. She was the last surviving of 12 children. Wilma married Mark A. Laux on June 2, 1945. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1990. Wilma was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Maple Grove. She loved reading, playing cards and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Bouliew, of Denver, Colo.; her son, Ronald (Ann) Laux, of Shelby Township; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Janice; grandson, Duane Bouliew; and 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral liturgy will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2008 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Maple Grove. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly will officiate, with burial in St. Michael Cemetery. Friends may call at the Walker-Martin Funeral Home, Chesaning, on Saturday, March 22, 2008, from 4 to 9 p.m. and Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008, from 3 to 9 p.m., then at the church on Monday after 10 a.m. The scripture service will be held on Sunday at 7 p.m. with the Knights of Columbus Rosary at 8 p.m. www.Wmartinfuneralhome.com.

Joseph Czeiszperger

Brant, formerly of Mio

Passed away on Thursday March 20, 2008 at the Covenant Cooper Medical Center, Saginaw. Age 84 years. He was born on November 25, 1923 in Elsie. He served in the US Army during World War II and was a member of the VFW. Joe retired from General Motors Grey Iron Foundry.

Surviving are his wife, Loma Bennett Czeiszperger; his children, Ann Varney, of Baxter, Ky., Liz (Ken) Rosenstangel, of Saginaw, Stella (Glenn) Harmer, of Brant, Sandy (Randy) Harris, of Brant, Sharon (Terry) Edwards, of Hoopston, Ill.; George (Shirley) Czeiszperger, of Saginaw, Joseph (Marjorie) Czeiszperger, of Brant, and Danielle; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his long time companion, Wanda, one brother, Steve, and his parents.

A memorial service will take place on Monday March 24, 2008 at 2 p.m. at the Walker-Martin Funeral Home, Chesaning. Rev. David Maltzan will officiate. Cremation has already taken place. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Monday.
