DeHues will be backed by the Greater Lansing Area Big Band and a 20-piece string section.

"I'm very excited to be on the Wharton stage for the first time, and to be accompanied by such a large group of professionals," said DeHues. "There will be about 40 musicians on stage behind me along with symphony conductor Timothy Muffitt."

When invited to sing at the prestigious event, DeHues' Los Angeles arrangers from Pat Boone's Gold Label Records began composing original string arrangements for the show.

A seasoned, veteran performer at the young age of 23, DeHues will be singing the music of Rogers and Hammerstein, Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, and many others. Song selections reflect the meticulous taste and quality standards of his influences including Jack Jones, Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, and Mel Torme.

Musical Genres for the performance will range from the Timeless Classics to Adult Contemporary, Jazz and Broadway.

"It's not very often you have an opportunity to hear traditional pop music played by a full big band with strings, live and in-person," said DeHues.

Tickets for the 3 p.m. show range in price from $11 to $27 for adults and $7 to $23 for students, can be purchased online at www.LansingSymphony.org or by calling 517-487-5001. Tickets will also be available at the door.
