Eagle Scout is the highest rank that can be attained by a Boy Scout.

Orr's Eagle Scout project consisted of designing, constructing, and placing 42 markers identifying the trees and shrubs along St. Charles Community School's Ecology Club Nature Trail. With the help of a local carpenter, he designed and constructed a trailhead sign with a map of the trail and prominent features of the area. He also researched the trees and shrubs and compiled a teacher's guide with educational information on the trees and shrubs for the elementary, middle, and high schools.

A dedication ceremony was held on October 26, 2006 where Orr outlined the project for school officials and community members, and then guided a walk through of the newly marked trail.

Orr has been an active member of the Boy Scouts of America for nine years joining while in the second grade.

He received his Arrow of Light in February of 2001 as a Webelos Scout of St. Charles Pack 3305. He has served in troop leadership positions of Patrol Leader, Troop Guide, Den Chief, Librarian, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader.

A junior at St. Charles High School, Orr is a member of the Teen Action Council and the National Honor Society. He is currently dual-enrolled at Delta College where he was named to the Presidents List for part-time students and is also in the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.

An Eagle Court of Honor for Orr is scheduled for Saturday, May 12 at the Nativity Lutheran Church in St. Charles.
