The district's former payroll supervisor stands charged of ten felony counts for allegedly siphoning $1.1 million from school district accounts over a ten-year period. She faces up to 24 years in prison if convicted on all counts.

Bacon was in Genesee County District Court Tuesday morning for the evaluation review. The report indicated that Bacon is receiving outpatient mental health counseling and is taking medication.

In January, Judge Richard L. Hughes ordered that Bacon undergo psychological testing after her attorney, Michael P. Manley, presented documents asserting that his client was suffering from "mental and emotional problems."

The Montrose native was hospitalized January 19 after an apparent suicide attempt at her Montrose Township home. The incident took place hours after Bacon was released on bond.

Bacon has been free since posting a $100,000 bond on January 19. She will be back in court May 14 for a preliminary examination.

Investigators believe Bacon abused her position as a payroll supervisor to ambezzle more than a million dollars from the school district between 1996 and 2005.
