Bands sought for July 8 Battle

CHESANING - The Rock on the River Battle at the Bend will return to this year's Chesaning Showboat Music Festival on Sunday, July 8. Back by popular demand, the second annual battle of the bands competition will be held in Showboat Park's Riversbend hospitality tent at 3:30 p.m. after the Showboat Parade.

Performers are being sought for the 2007 showcase, which features a multi-million dollar stage, professional sound engineer and crew, and standing-room only crowds in an energized festival atmosphere.

Organizers say this is a great opportunity for emerging musicians to showcase their talent. All genres are welcome.
