The Lady Bulldogs trailed the Rams, 6-2, before their outburst in the bottom of the sixth. Todd Halcomb's squad hammered out a 13-1 mercy win in the nightcap to move its record to a perfect 4-0 on the season.

Sammi Mason struck out eight in the opener while surrendering just four hits and a pair of walks. Jade Tribfelner and Toni Madden each had a pair of hits, with Tribfelner knocking in three runs and Madden plating two and scoring twice on her own.

In the nightcap, St. Charles scored four times in the second inning and six more in the third to breeze to the five-inning mercy win. Sara Mead picked up the victory on the mound, twirling a three-hitter while striking out eight. Mason slammed a double and a triple to pace the offense, driving in three runs in the process. Mead helped her own cause with a pair of hits and three RBI's. Felicia Reinke legged out a triple, stole a base, knocked in a run and scored twice in Game Two.

Hillary Parker had a triple and a single on the day for Montrose while Kylie Adams notched two hits, two runs and a pair of RBI's.

St. Charles will take its 4-0 record into Spring Break before returning to action on April 16 at Swan Valley. Montrose, now 0-2, will also be off until the 16th, when the Rams will host Genesee in a GAC crossover contest.
