CHESANING - It's being held in honor of Cover the Uninsured Week, but all area residents are invited to attend a free health fair at Rehmann Health Center on Friday, April 27. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chesaning clinic, 147 S. Saginaw Street.

Organizers say the annual health fair is jam-packed with services and resources of interest to people of all ages and lifestyles.

"It's very exciting that we're able to offer these kinds of services to our community at no cost," said Rehmann Health Center manager Lori LaRue. "We hope everyone - even those with their own health insurance - will come out and take advantage of this opportunity."

The event is being organized by Healthy Futures - which provides a free clinic at Rehmann Health Center twice a month - in conjunction with several medical professionals and agencies.

Visitors can learn more about Head Start, prescription services, health insurance enrollment, and the Saginaw County Commission on Aging. Also on tap are free healthcare services, including stroke screening, blood pressure checks, lung screening, vision screening and much more.

Services are available on a walk-in basis; no appointments are necessary.

For more information about the health fair or other Rehmann Health Center programs, call (989) 845-3911.
