THEOFILIS "TED" A. BELDYGA of Chesaning



Age 86, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, April 14, 2008 at his home. Theofilis A. Beldyga was born on March 1, 1922 in Wyandotte, the son of Nicholas and Victoria (Zebia) Beldyga. He married Mary Kuchar on July 24, 1943, and she survives him. Ted retired from Saginaw Steering Gear Plant 5 after 43 years of service.

He was still very active in farming. His favorite hobbies were restoring old cars and tractors and being involved in the Buick Club. He especially enjoyed hunting, woodworking and picking stones. He will be missed at happy hour.

Surviving are his wife, Mary; his children, Gene (Susan) Beldyga, of Chesaning, Larry (Carol) Beldyga, of Burt, Gary (Janet) Beldyga, of Chesaning, Rosemary (John) Sebeck, of Au Gres, Ted (Mary) Beldyga, of Chesaning; 17 grandchildren, Chris, Cory Beldyga, Amy Iwen, Tracy Gross, Rick Coss, Jessica Parks, Adam, Nick, Brent and Chad Beldyga, Matthew Lutz, Julie Lasceski, Lyndy, Mitch, Jenna and Marlie Beldyga; 10 great-grandchildren, Ben Iwen, Bailey, Riley and Charlie Beldyga, Sophie and Jacob Gross, Tessa, Almeda, Austin, Abrianna Beldyga; also many nieces and nephews and his special dog, Blackie. He was predeceased by his parents; a daughter, Alice; two sisters and one brother.

The funeral liturgy was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Fr. Michael Kuchar officiated, with burial in St. Robert Cemetery, Flushing.
