Sabrina Aguilar had the only hit for Chesaning in the opening loss to Owosso as the visiting Trojans broke open the game with six runs in the third and coasted to a 14-0 win.

Owosso took immediate control of the nightcap by scoring 11 times in the first inning and quickly posted a mercy-rule 19-0 win over Chesaning. Chelsea Harris had the only hit for the Tribe.

Chesaning played its first TVC-Central contests of the season at Shepherd on Tuesday where it held a brief 2-1 lead in the opener before the host Bluejays erupted for eight runs in the bottom of the second en route to a 14-4 triumph.

The Indians collected eight hits in the loss, paced by Whitney Pacek, who had a single and a double. Marie Leggett added a single and two RBI's to the Tribe attack.

Chesaning led 3-1 in the finale, but Shepherd rallied for three runs in the fourth and put the game out of reach with seven more tallies in the fifth to grab an 11-3 win. Pacek again had a single and a double to lead the Tribe offense.

The Indians now stand at 0-2 in the TVC-Central and at 1-10-1 overall.
