Shepherd broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the sixth inning of the opener by plating a pair of runs, and followed with two more markers in the seventh to secure the win. Beth Kensrud took the loss on the mound, scattering eight hits. The Tribe hurt itself by committing four errors in the contest. Lindsay Harmon had one of the four Indian hits, knocking in the only run of the game for the Indians.

In the second game, Chesaning fell behind early, trailing 7-1 after just three innings. The Indians rallied for three in the top of the seventh behind Denelle Schian's double. Schian, Harmon and Cassie Harris each had two hits in the game, and the Indians played error-free ball on defense.

The losses drop Chesaning to 0-2 in league play and 4-6, overall.
