FRANCES HUDECEK HINKLEY of Troy



Age 80, passed away Saturday, April 26, 208 at Cambridge -South Nursing Center. Frances Hudecek was born on her parents' farm in Chesaning on June 27, 1927, the daughter of Thomas and Agnes (Pavlica) Hudecek. She married John Lee Hinkley on July 16, 1953. He preceded her in death on June 8, 2000. Frances was a member of CSA 411 Central Star and a Golden member of the Auxiliary Eagles in Hazel Park. She enjoyed cooking, corresponding, chatting on the telephone, gardening, reading and taking pictures. She loved the American flag.

She is survived by six daughters: Barbara, Linda, Gail, Nancy, Kim, Mary and one son, David; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law; four sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. Frances was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Thomas, Jr., and Edward Hudecek; and four sisters, Anna Chludil, Mary Wend, Agnes and Helen Hudecek.

A one-hour service was held on Monday, April 28, 2008 at the Walker-Martin Funeral Home in Chesaning. Poems were read from her children. Interment was at the family estate, West Section, Lot N11, next to her parents and siblings at Wildwood Cemetery in Chesaning. The family requests no flowers. Donations are suggested to Hospices of Henry Ford, 655 W. 13 Mile Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071.
