Four Indian softball gals recognized in TVC voting



Megan Buck earned a spot on the TVC-Central Second Team while three other Chesaning players received honorable mention in recent voting by the league's softball coaches.

Buck was joined by Jill Hunt, Ashley Oliver and Amanda Mort as recipients of post-season honors for their performances on the softball diamond.

Buck hit a sizzling .427 for the season, rapping out 44 hits, including eight doubles and two home runs. She knocked in 20 runners and recorded a slugging average of .563.

Hunt, a senior catcher, hit at a solid .381 clip, smashing 10 doubles, a triple and a pair of homers along the way. She logged a team high 28 RBI's and had an impressive .567 slugging percentage.

Ashley Oliver batted .321 with four doubles while fielding at a .983 average.

Amanda Mort, a junior, hit .351 with nine doubles, a triple and a home run among her 39 hits.
