Indian kickers receive end-of-season notice



Chesaning's varsity soccer team recently held its end-of-season banquet, announcing several individual awards at its gathering on June 7.

All-Conference awards were passed out, with three Indians receiving recognition. Junior Hllie Greenfelder was named to the All-TVC Second Team while teammates Hillary Darling, a senior goalie, and junior Dana Albosta received Honorable Mention.

Darling and fellow senior Sarah Mahoney won Academic All-State awards while several other individual awards were passed out.

Darling was named Most Valuable Player, Albosta was named Most Valuable Defender, Greenfelder was Most Valuable Midfielder and junior Jenna Schneider was Most Valuable Forward. Senior Megan Reed was named Most Improved Player, freshman Heather Sawvel was Rookie of the Year and fellow freshman Kaitlin Arnold received the Coach's Award.
