The four-person scramble has proved to be a popular mid-summer event with proceeds benefitting several St. Charles High School sports teams. This year, the wrestling and girls basketball teams, along with the Athletic Association, are the primary sponsors.

The cost is $65 per person and includes 18 holes of golf with a cart and lunch. Golfers need not be part of a full four-person team to participate. Men's, women's or mixed teams are all welcome.

There will be cash prizes for the first place four-person team, and random drawings for two additional places and cash.

A variety of door prizes will be given out, and there will be awards for the winners of longest drive, closest to pin and other contests.

Registration will be at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Aug. 5.

Entries are limited to 36 teams for the rain or shine event.

Kimberly Oaks Golf Course, (989) 865-8261, is located at 110 W. Walnut St., approximately one mile west of M-52 in St. Charles.
