All other officers were also re-elected to remain at their respective posts for the upcoming year. They include Joe Wilkins as vice-president, John Germaine as secretary, and Steve McNally as treasurer. McNally was elected to the board in May to complete the remaining two years of the term he had previously been appointed to. New board member, trustee Jim Swartzendruber, a former board member and board president in St. Charles who was elected in May to fill the four year seat left vacant by Jeff Tithof who did not seek re-election, along with trustees Lenny LeFevre, and Leon Larsen complete the group. In other action members were appointed to serve on the district's various committees. Committee assignments include Leon Larsen, John Germaine, and Steve McNally being appointed to the finance committee, Jim Swartzendruber, Joe Wilkins, and Leon Larsen being appointed to the buildings and grounds committee, and Lenny LeFevre, Ron Gonzales, and Jim Swartzendruber being appointed to the negotiations committee. John Germaine, Steve McNally and Lenny LeFevre will serve on the recognitions committee and the board goals committee will be covered by the committee of the whole. Jim Swartzendruber will serve as the district's Saginaw County Association of School Board (SCASB) Delegate with John Germaine serving as the alternate. Lenny LeFevre will serve as the district's liaison to the Michigan Association of School Board and as the SCASB Legislative Representative. Also approved at Wednesday's meeting was the board of education meeting schedule for the 2007-08 school year. This year all meetings will begin at 6 p.m. Meetings will be held on the following dates; August 8 and 22; September 19, October 10 and 24; November 14 and 28; December 19; January 16; February 13 and 27; March 12; April 9 and 23; May 7 and 21; and June 25. The next meeting of the board will be a work session meeting on August 8 to be held in the boardroom at Central Administration beginning at 6 p.m.
