Puttin' on the blitz

The Blitz Build for the Chesaning Habitat for Humanity house got underway on Friday morning. Within two hours, the volunteer crew had exterior walls up, with plans to have the roof on by nightfall.

Building on the house continued throughout the weekend and over the next couple of weeks. An open house is planned for Saturday, Aug. 24, when the keys will be turned over to the Grady and Kim Suggs family.

While material donations are well in hand, organizers are still seeking monetary donations. To make a tax-deductible donation of money, contact Diane Reeves at (989) 585-3254, or Francis Sloan at (989) 845-6280. Checks should be made payable to Habitat for Humanity, Chesaning House #144.
