Blueberry Festival contest winners announced



MONTROSE - The following winners have been announced for various contests held during the 2007 Montrose Blueberry Festival.

Winners in the Men's Softball Tournament were, first place, National Pawn, of Flushing; second place, Crystal Gardens, of Flushing; third place, Layton Corners, of Chesaning; and fourth place, The Wave, of Montrose.

Women's Softball Tournament winners were, first place, Sally's, of Midland; second place, B's & H's, of Lansing; third place, Little Caesars, of Davison; and fourth place, Detroit Abrasives, of Owosso.

In the Texas Hold'em tournament winners were, first place, Jason Soave; second place, Jason Lemire; third place, Dan Smith; fourth place, Shawn Bueche; and fifth place, Doug Lake. Shawn Bueche was the winner of the Best Hand and Tom Weaver won the Booby Prize,

In the Adult Karaoke Contest winners were, first place, Tim Young, of Montrose; second place, Greg Martell, of Millington; third place, Tiffany Salsgiver, of Otter Lake; and fourth place, Robert Thibault, of Millington.

For the Kid's Karaoke Contest the winners were, ages 6-7, first place, Gabrielle Hun; second place, McKenna Harrington; and third place, Cydia Trueblood. Age 8-9 winners were, first place, Bailey McGlinchey; and second place, Anna Climie. Age 10-12 winners were, first place, Jordan Hayes; second place, Shelby Leonard; and third place, Sarah Neeley. For age group 13-15 the winners were, first place, Katie Voeks; second place, Aaron Adams; and third place Amy Revett.

In the Canine Competition, winners in the Most Adorable Puppy category were, first place, Sophie, a Toy Poodle owned by Peg DuBuc of Flint; second place, Ebony, a Chihuahua owned by Renee Vredeveld of Montrose; and third place, Spartacus, a Toy Poodle owned by Linda Buhl of Clio.

For the Most Beautiful Female category winners were, first place, Dancer, a Chihuahua owned by Darynn Robinson of Montrose; second place, Flower Princess, a Chihuahua owned by Mary Ferrier of Fenton; and third place, Sashaa, a Maltese Mix owned by DeAnn Daniels of New Lothrop.

For Best Dressed the winners were, first place, Sashaa, a Maltese Mix owned by DeAnn Daniels of New Lothrop; second place, Dancer, a Chihuahua owned by Darynn Robinson of Montrose; third place, Baby, a Yorkie Poo owned by Karen Whitmire of Montrose.

In the best trick category winners were, first place, Tinkerbell, a Toy Fox owned by Laurie Davis of St. Charles; second place, Brutus, a Labrador Retriever owned by Laura Adkins of Clio; and third place, Apollo, a Doberman Pinscher owned by Bill Klein of Burt.

In the Most Handsome Male category winners were, first place, Little Bear, a Toy Pomeranian owned by Patricia Hott of Chesaning; second place, Tracker, a Weimaraner owned by Samantha Maynard of Montrose; third place, Duke, a German Shorthair owned by John Perkins of Montrose.

Best in Show honors went to Tinkerbell, a Toy Fox owned by Laurie Davis of St. Charles.
