SANING - With the arrival of fall, the Chesaning Area United Appeal annual campaign is getting underway. Area homes will soon be receiving a new color brochure along with a pledge envelope by mail. Donations can also be sent to the CAUA, 147 S. Saginaw St., Chesaning, MI 48616. Money donated to Chesaning Area United Appeal is used to support six valuable community agencies ‹ the Chesaning Public Library, Chesaning Area Emergency Relief (CAER), the Chesaning Senior Center (The Young at Heart Club), Chesaning Parks and Recreation, the Chesaning Area Historical Society and Museum and the Rehmann Health Center. In 2006, community members donated $23,751.42. Last year, $25,668.97 was raised. The goal for the 2008 campaign is $28,000. Donations can also be pledged through United Way at work, but donors must designate on their pledge card "Chesaning Area United Appeal, Chesaning" in order for the money to come to the community.
