Obituaries PUBLISHED:
Age 78, passed away late Saturday evening, September 29, 2007 at St. Mary's of Michigan, Saginaw. She was born on May 5, 1929 in Midland, the daughter of Otto and Myrtle (Horning) Heikkila. Those left to mourn her include her husband, Clyde; her children, Margaret Rollins, John Searle, Norma Witherell, Robert Searle, Beth Carpenter, James Searle and Henry Searle; 26 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four of her children: Thomas L. Searle, Lacinda Searle, Marie Searle and an infant daughter. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Misiuk Funeral Home, Chesaning. Rev. Elliott Aspinwall officiated, with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Chesaning.
ZACHARY N. KRZYANIAK Chesaning/Hemlock Age 23, passed away suddenly Friday evening, September 28, 2007, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born on November 30, 1983 in Saginaw, the son of Alex J. Krzyaniak, of Chesaning, and Sharla (Burk) Krzyaniak, of Chesaning. He had attended Chesaning schools, and was presently employed at Hehr Glass in Chesaning. Besides his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Vada Jane English; his brother, Brandon Krzyaniak, of Fort Carson, Colo.; his fiancee, Paris English; his step-son, Anton English; his grandparents, Beth and John Burk, of Hemlock; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 12, 2007, at noon, at the Misiuk Funeral Home of Chesaning. Pastor Andrew Backus officiated. Cremation has taken place. LANDON JAMES SEAL Beloved son of Brittany Seal and younger twin brother of Lance Allen, went to be with his Lord Jesus after passing on at home peacefully on Tuesday, September 18, 2007. He was three weeks, one day young and was a "miracle child," loved very deeply by everyone who knew him and never will be forgotten. He is survived by his mother, Brittany Seal and older twin Lance Allen Seal, his grandfather, Norman Seal, his grandmother, Cynthia Streeter, step-grandfather, Randy Streeter, great-grandfather, Alvin Seal, uncle Bradley Seal, all of Montrose; and great-grandparents Bruce and Evelyn Goodrich, of Oakley. He was predeceased by his great-grandmother, Frances Seal, and great-grandparents, Samuel and Anna Runyan, of Corunna. A beautiful memorial graveside service was held on a lovely Saturday morning, September 22, 2007, at Oak Grove Cemetery, Oakley, by funeral director Doug Misiuk, of Chesaning, with Pastor Robert Koch of Lamb of God Fellowship in Montrose officiating. Special music was played and poems read. The family wishes to thank everyone who came to the service and who was so kind to be there during the time when little Landon and his mom needed a helping hand with wonderful friends to lean on. ANNA A. KOVICAK Maple Grove Township Age 90, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2007, at St. Marys of Michigan Hospital in Saginaw. Anna Agnes Nagy was born on May 29, 1917 to the late George and Victoria Nagy. She married Anthony Kovicak on November 18, 1939, and he preceded her in death in 1982. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Grove, the Daughters of Isabella and the Maple Grove Senior Center. Anna is survived by her children, David and Dianne Kovicak, of Chesaning, Louise and Bob Pfau, of Grand Rapids, Steve and Barb Kovicak, of New Lothrop, and Katie and Fred Wendling, of Chesaning; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother, John and Joane Nagy, of Bay City; one sister, Leona and Bill Neville, of Clare; and two sisters-in-law. She was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters. Funeral liturgy was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Groe. Rev. Fr. Randy Kelly officiated, with burial in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to the Whelpley-Martin Funeral Home in New Lothrop.
